At Burr Oak Family Dental, we believe that the path to a healthy mouth starts with a comprehensive exam and x-rays. This will give us a solid idea of the type of cleaning you need and alerts us to any areas of gum disease or decay. Once we’ve evaluated your overall oral health, we can clean your teeth more efficiently.
One of our most used pieces of technology is the intraoral scanner. Intraoral scanners give us an in-depth understanding of your oral health. By blowing up a picture of your tooth and putting it on a computer monitor, we’re able to see every crack and crevice with crystal-clear detail. This allows us to detect issues when they’re still invisible to the naked eye, so we can fix a problem before it turns into a larger and more costly one.
Our CBCT machine is also an invaluable resource at Burr Oak Family Dental. A CBCT, or cone beam computed tomography is a special type of x-ray machine that generates 3D images of dental structures, soft tissues, nerve paths, and bone in one complete scan. CBCT scans provide detailed images of the bone and help diagnose diseases of all hard and soft tissue including teeth, bone, muscles, nasal cavities and sinuses. Being able to offer our patients such a detailed image may help catch and diagnose a disease in its earliest stage of development.
At Burr Oak Family Dental, we love being a part of the Blue Springs community. So much of our personal and professional successes have come from working in Blue Springs, and, to show our gratitude, we enjoy holding monthly community outreach programs. This not only allows us to reach out to those in our community who need help but it helps us repay the years of support our office has received.
